Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor

 

Here I am reading my piece, “American Alligator,” at last week’s BedPost Confessions, with ASL translation by the fine Mandy, also pictured. Two friends came all the way from Florence, Texas to hear me, which was gratifying. Really, the whole night made me so grateful (if also massively overwhelmed) to be in a fertile, supportive place like Austin.
